The Shakespeare Society of America
Example of Theatre Archive

Robert Thaddeus "R. Thad" Taylor, Founder and President of the Shakespeare Society of America (SSA) designed, built and operated the historic Globe Playhouse in West Hollywood which served as the SSA headquarters from 1972-2007.  The Globe Playhouse was world famous as an authentic one-half replica of the interior of Shakespeare's original Globe Theatre which operated in London from 1599-1613.

In addition to the 35-year history of theatrical performances, The Globe Playhouse was the first theatre in the world to perform all 38 Shakespeare Plays in succession.
